We pretend we’re not buying mansions in flood plains right before the ocean rises.

It’s a culture of limited liability.

You cannot shift liability on a global scale. It doesn’t go away, it merely moves.

When the rich make risky bets, enabled by government, home owners pay the cost when it inevitably bursts. Those who got rich on the up way get richer on the way down by spending cash to buy real wealth at bargain prices.

Our homes. Our assets. Our wealth.

They’re flush with our cash.

Our retirements.

That we’re penalized for withdrawing early.

“When plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men in a society, over the course of time they create for themselves a legal system that authorizes it and a moral code that glorifies it.”

 — Frédéric Bastiat

The top gets the vast majority of our national GDP, and the percentage grows rather than shrinks over time.

We destroy our environment in an attempt to satisfy the appetite of the rich, and they still lay off workers when they are most vulnerable.

So we cannot work for them anymore.

If public company CEOs have to put profits over human survival, then we cannot use our time and energy to help them achieve their goals.

We can choose to work for each other, but understanding what that looks like will require commitment from people with skills and people with resources.

It takes the safe taking a risk, discouraged by tax law.

I’ve taken the plunge myself, but the money is gone.

I have a solid plan, and I’ve already helped a number of people.

This is a distributed problem though. I can show you how to help, but it’s a numbers game.

You are wanted.
