All you can control is your own actions.

The actions you are capable of performing in the moment depend on your past actions, and the values which drove decisions in the moment.

When you learn to handle the books for a small business, you become someone capable of handling the books for a small business. A skill which you can call upon to help pay the bills.

When you learn to scam people, you become someone willing to scam people. It is also a skill you can call upon to help pay the bills.

“Watch your thoughts. They become words. Watch your words. They become deeds. Watch your deeds. They become habits. Watch your habits. They become character. Character is everything.”

If you cannot make money with the skills you have, learn new skills. Find out what skills will be useful to people. Don’t view careers as a costume to fit into, but instead try to describe how you can help them.

The best way to learn a skill is to try, and be persistent until you succeed.

Sometimes you’ll instead learn to appreciate the value of a skill, and pay for it instead. Paying for labor is how a rising tide can lift all boats.

Have your own goal.

Look for work that points in the direction of your goal. Get creative. Get ambitious.

Find people or businesses willing to invest in your skills.

More importantly, invest in yourself.

If you won’t, who else will?

Look for help. It is hard to find, especially if you won’t ask.

Be trusting when it’s offered, but not foolish.

Reach out, I want to help.
