Through the horrors and fleeting triumphs of the last few years, young people like you have been one of the reminders that things will get better. Your strength in the face of adversity, horrors, and the worst of human behavior.

Emma, your opinion column yesterday is what prompted me to reach out.

I’d like to offer my skills, knowledge, and connections in helping you find your paths forward. I’ve spent the last 20 years in the tech industry near MIT and Harvard. I was working alongside many brilliant people with connections within Cambridge’s academic circles, many of which I believe also view you very highly.

In addition to my technical skills, I have been spending a large part of the last year and a half researching everything I can get my hands on to understand better, and have made connections with individuals all over the country with differing opinions.

You’ve all learned a lot and done more than most, but the world is more complex than I realized a year ago at 40. There’s always more to understand, and the butterfly effect of change can have unintended side effects.

If you ever need any advice or if I can help in any way, don’t hesitate to reach out to [email protected]. If I cannot help, I may know someone who can.
